Katy's brand image is fun and feminine, these are both represented withing this advert. The pink writing connotes femininity, this appeals to the target audience of teenage girls. The candy cane design of the font also connotes fun and youthfulness, as the design is commonly associated with sweets and Christmas. The poster is simple, with no background, this provide more focus on the artist, who has been shot in a medium shot. This is so the audience who see her as a style icon can see her clothes, and it shows her body, providing the sex appeal of her image. It also feature logo's for ITunes and Napster, to give people ideas of where they can download the album while also branding the other companies. It also contains her website so fans can create a fan-artist image, making them feel more connected and wanting to buy her album and merchandise more.
