Planning: Location, Studio

For our video, we decided to film most of it in the studio, therefore, we have learned how to use all of the equipment including the lighting, the HD camera and the set up of the green screen...
When learning about the lighting, we learned that they get hot during use, therefore, we will remember to include this on our risk assessment forms.
Also about lighting, we learned that the light being shown on the green screen needs to be even, with no shadows. Or else when it comes to chroma keying, it will be harder to remove all the green, and it would leave a halo around the picture being added. Therefore, we will take time out to make the lighting even, so it will save time during editing.

This year, the studio purchased a HD camera. We had basic camera training last year, and had a recap on filming this year. However, as it is HD ready, it will make chroma keying easier when it comes to editing, as the HD will make it easier to remove the background and will lower the chance of there being a halo around our artist in the video.

The white screen will come into use when we come round to making our album and taking the photos for it. The same lighting will be used to make the studio bright and white which are colours and effects we want for our album cover.
